Swap swap swap all the way to Australia

After not crafting for too long, because of the moving and all, I finally joined another craftswap. It was a samhain/autumn themed swap and my partner Penelope Waits, living in Australia, sent me a gorgeous package last week! It was stuffed with not only hand-crafted beauties but also Australian goodness.

She made me a pincushion! I love the colors and patterns, it is darn cute!



In the same style she made this really lovely coasters for me. Hand embroidered with Australian thread.





And in my fav colors she made this cute earrings!


And the teacup they were hiding in already became my favourite one! Penelope, I already Tim Tam Slammed in it with hot choco! It was sooooooo yummy!!!!

felted cellphone cozy

Well since I'm not having new crafts to share, cause if been to busy moving house and finding a new job and integrating with the locals her and well working at my new job, I'll be posting some oldies.

This cellphone cozy I made for Princesspepper for the Craftster One Tiny Thing swap.
In this swap your partner gives you 5 themes from which you can choose.
I used 4 of them: the colour grey, feathers, bats and sequins.
This is what I came up with. It is wet felted over a mold matching her type of cellphone.

autumn!

Autumn at last!!

At last, Autumn has arrived at the East of the Netherlands!! Time for warm knits, leg warmers, snuggle up scarf and (inspired by the delicious movie Chocolate) warm chocolate with pepper and booze!
It is wonderful to see our backyard change from lushy green and flowering to gold. There are a lot of mushrooms growing in our yard. So it's high time for a study mushroom identification.

Cause someone has been hungry!!

• I have a large, and by large I mean large, repertoire of bert & ernie, children and church songs.

• I played hockey for almost 10 years and loved it. Sometimes I still want to play.
• I sung in a band and played flute and jembé for a small time. We performed ones and there are secret recording of our studio work :P
